Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Reggio Inspired part time Float to join our vibrant early childhood education community. In this role, your primary focus will be as a float teacher, helping as a third teacher or sub in any of our 3 classrooms (toddler, preschool, prek).
Our school is play and project based, we are heavily inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of teaching, with a strong emphasis on nature based learning. Our mission is to form our curriculum around the children in each class.
Job Title: Looking for part time teacher with current EEC teacher certification to start in September. Hours are 16 hours per week. Possible schedule is Monday and Wednesday 8:30-12:30, Tues/Fri 2:30-4:30 and Thursday 12:30-4:30. Possibility of switching to full time hours later in the school year.
Part time hours during summer sessions available as well.
-MUST HAVE EEC teacher or Lead teacher certification (Teachers with assistant certification not needed at this time)
-a background in a Reggio inspired/play based or nature inspired classroom preferred
-a passion for observation, documentation, professional development and helping children love learning
-a desire to learn from both children and colleagues
-and understanding of current developmentally appropriate practice and experience with neurodivergence
-must love the outdoors as we are outside daily for extended periods of time in all forms of weather! -must have patience, a solid understanding of child development, a good understanding of play based education and an understanding that all children are capable.

Responsibilities
- Float teacher positions- covering classrooms, acting as a third teacher to an established teaching team to play with children, comfort and aid in self help skills
-light cleaning and maintenance of classroom
-assist with classroom management
-Extended day responsibilities include managing class of toddlers or Preschool/Prek children in afternoon curriculum and outside time.
