We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. We are located in Sylacauga Alabama and are looking for employees to help our business grow. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically those with autism. Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and analyze data on client behavior and progress towards goals
- Support individuals in developing and improving social skills
- Provide reinforcement and positive feedback to encourage desired behaviors
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow safety protocols and ensure the well-being of clients at all times
Experience:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, is preferred
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle challenging behaviors
