Position Summary
The Assistant Spa Manager supports the Spa Director in overseeing the daily operations of Spa Lilliana, including the spa, salon, retail boutique, reception, attendants, and service providers. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting revenue and operational goals, developing team members, and ensuring the spa consistently operates at the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.
The Assistant Spa Manager serves as a hands-on leader and acts as a key management presence for the department in the absence of the Spa Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Partner with the Spa Director to achieve the financial, operational, and guest service goals of Spa Lilliana.

Assist with monitoring and driving revenue goals, retail sales, treatment sales, and overall department profitability.

Oversee the daily operations of the spa, including reception, attendants, service providers, and salon operations as assigned.

Serve as a management presence for the spa and assist with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Spa Director.

Ensure the spa consistently delivers an exceptional, personalized, and luxury guest experience.

Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and overall guest experience.

Respond professionally and effectively to guest concerns, resolving issues whenever possible and escalating matters appropriately.

Assist with scheduling, staffing levels, coverage, and daily assignments to support business demands.

Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of spa team members.

Provide ongoing training and coaching to Reception, Attendants, and Providers on guest service, sales techniques, treatments, spa standards, and operating procedures.

Foster a positive, collaborative, fun, and service-focused work environment.

Recognize and reward employees for outstanding performance while providing constructive coaching when improvement is needed.

Assist with payroll, timekeeping, labor management, and other administrative responsibilities.

Assist with fiscal and budgetary management and identify opportunities to control costs without compromising guest service.

Assist with the development and implementation of short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives.

Assist with the creation, implementation, and communication of department policies, procedures, and standards.

Assist with the development and coordination of spa service programs, promotions, packages, and special offerings.

Manage and maintain group, membership, and special guest details as assigned.

Assist with retail boutique operations, including inventory levels, merchandising, ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate stock.

Monitor professional invoices and expenses and identify opportunities for savings and improved budget performance.

Ensure spa equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operational; report maintenance issues promptly.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization throughout the spa, including the Women's and Men's locker areas.

Ensure all team members understand and consistently follow hotel and spa standards.

Communicate hotel and spa updates, operational changes, promotions, and expectations effectively to staff.

Maintain open communication with employees and encourage feedback, ideas, and suggestions.

Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory of supplies, linens, retail products, and operating materials.

Work closely with other Hotel Effie and resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, financial, and business information.

Attend required hotel and departmental meetings and training sessions.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Spa Director or management.

Education & Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a spa, salon, wellness, or luxury hospitality environment.

Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience required.

Previous spa, salon, resort, or hotel experience strongly preferred.

Experience supervising reception, spa providers, attendants, or other guest-facing teams preferred.

Experience with retail sales, inventory management, memberships, or spa revenue operations is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality, business, spa management, or a related field preferred.
