Job Summary
An Order Picker is responsible for picking, sorting, and preparing products for shipping based on customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The order picker will also ensure that inventory is stored properly and safely within the warehouse.

Responsibilities
- Retrieve products from shelves, racks, or bins based on customer orders, ensuring the correct item and quantity is selected.
- Use handheld devices or pick lists to accurately locate items and verify that they match the order.
- Sort picked items according to order requirements, preparing them for packing or staging areas.
- Group similar items together to streamline the packing process and reduce errors.
- Ensure picked products are in good condition before proceeding to the next stage of the order fulfillment process.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile or sensitive items to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or order-picking machines (e.g., cherry pickers, order pickers).
- Physically fit to lift and move heavy cabinet pieces (up to 50–75 lbs) safely
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and adherence to safety standards during the picking process.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, especially in roles that involve order picking, packing, or inventory management.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is common, though some entry-level positions may accept candidates without prior experience and provide on-the-job training.
