JoyLife SPA is a proud minority and woman-owned small business based in Northern Virginia. Transitioning from our flagship location in Fairfax, we’re excited to have opened a new location in Old Town Alexandria in August 2025! JoyLife SPA is seeking Licensed Massage Therapists who are passionate about wellness, committed to continued learning, and dedicated to providing the highest level of care. We value skill, professionalism, and heart — and we invest in our team by offering paid training and covering necessary CEUs to support your growth.
Because our company is owned by a 17-year spa veteran, we believe the employee experience should match the client experience: high-quality, supportive, and fulfilling. Please do not apply if you do not currently hold a Virginia Massage Therapy License.
Responsibilities:
- Perform deep tissue massages tailored to clients’ specific needs and preferences.
- Conduct client assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Create .a welcoming, relaxing environment that supports client comfort and trust.
- Utilize pain management techniques to relieve discomfort
- Apply trigger point therapy to address specific muscle tension or pain.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., chiropractors, physical therapists) when needed.
- Maintain detailed client records and uphold safety and hygiene standards.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational health.
- Actively work to build a loyal clientele through exceptional service and client care.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Massage Therapy License (required).
- At least 1 year of professional spa experience.
- Proven skill in deep tissue massage and a range of therapeutic techniques.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess client needs and customize sessions accordingly.
- Detail-oriented with a client-first mindset.

Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $52.05 – $84.25 per hour
- Day shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon/Evening Shifts
- Weekend availability as needed
