Position Summary
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members throughout the Family Entertainment Center. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all public areas, restrooms, attractions, party rooms, and employee spaces meet the company's cleanliness and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the day, ensuring they remain fully stocked with supplies.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in all guest and employee areas.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, tables, counters, and other surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of attractions, arcade areas, bowling lanes, party rooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other cleaning needs to maintain guest safety.
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects and facility upkeep during slower business periods.
- Support overall guest satisfaction by ensuring a clean and pleasant environment.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist other departments when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull cleaning equipment and supply carts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available.
