American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Louisville, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Hospital-based Endoscopy unit featuring ten treatment rooms, 30 pre/post-operative procedure rooms, and a high-tech ERCP room

Provides both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy services

Common procedures include EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy), bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP
-
Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (40 hrs/week)

13-week contract

Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Previous nursing experience preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures

MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementing therapies and procedures, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities

Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with critical thinking

Provides patient and family-centered education and coordinates individualized treatment planning

Delegates tasks to and monitors care provided by other team members

Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing

Promotes a positive, healing team environment across nursing staff and interdisciplinary colleagues
