Overview
Join our team as a part-time creative arts instructor. We're seeking someone patient, friendly, and great with kids, someone who can teach one or more art forms like pencil drawing, painting, knitting, or other hands-on creative trades. K through 12 experience is a plus, but not required. Retired teachers, practicing artists, and passionate hobbyists are all welcome.
Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging art and creative enrichment classes for students in grades K–12.
- Plan and prepare fun, age-appropriate lessons for students with varying skill levels.
- Teach one or more creative disciplines such as:
- Pencil drawing
- Acrylic and watercolor painting
- Sketching
- Mixed media
- Knitting and crochet
- Arts and crafts
- Sculpture and clay
- Sewing or other creative handcrafts
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in every student.
- Create a positive, patient, and supportive classroom environment.
- Demonstrate techniques while providing individual guidance and encouragement.
- Prepare and organize class materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs and abilities of different learners.
- Foster creativity while teaching proper use and care of art supplies and tools.
- Communicate professionally with staff and parents when needed.
- Assist with displaying student artwork and participating in occasional showcases or special events.

- Teaching experience preferred but not required
- Certification is a plus but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
