Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nights Double Driver to join our team. As a Double Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods using 28-foot double pup trailers. Duties
- Safely operate a truck pulling 28-foot double pup trailers, following all applicable safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Execute drop and hook operations with efficiency, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
- Manage wait times and handle paperwork/documentation as required.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch and management regarding progress, issues, or delays.
- Demonstrate safe driving practices, ensuring timely and safe delivery of cargo.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating doubles (28-foot double pup trailers).
- Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement.
- Proven safety record and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform drop and hook operations with ease.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with dispatch.
- Must pass drug screening and background check.
- Must have a clean FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Experience with Motive (Keep trucking) ELD – Preferred
- Willing to train the right candidate in doubles if no experience.
