Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
- Escort food runners to deliver dishes promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables quickly to prepare for new guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, host station, and surrounding spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support the team during busy periods by handling food preparation tasks or assisting with kitchen duties as needed.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Manage guest waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving and bussing roles.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transactions.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in various settings.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Kitchen experience or culinary background enhances understanding of food preparation processes.
- Hospitality or hotel experience is beneficial for delivering exceptional guest services.
