Job Overview
Kingston Bread and Bar, a retail and wholesale bakery specializing in sourdough bread and laminated pastries, is seeking new pastry-team members to assist with the production of our signature products. We are currently interviewing for all skill levels, from entry-level to experienced pastry cook. Please reach out to learn more!
Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cookies, croissants, and other confections with precision and creativity
- Follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistent quality and flavor in all products
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Package baked items carefully for presentation and storage, maintaining product integrity during handling
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Assist in food production processes, including dough preparation, food handling, and portioning for high-volume output
Skills
- Proven pastry preparation experience is a plus, but we're also willing to train!
- Knowledge of food production techniques and baking principles
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and maintaining a clean workspace
- Strong attention to detail for recipe adherence and presentation quality
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
- Willingness to work closely with other team members and collaborate on new ideas

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
