About the Role
I’m an active 84-year-old stock swing trader and retired business consultant (formerly Senior Vice President of a factory-built housing company with 13 West Coast manufacturing plants). I’m looking for a motivated college student majoring in Computer Science (with a minor or strong interest in Business, Finance, or Marketing) to help program and refine custom scans inside Fidelity’s Active Trader Pro platform.
This is a great hands-on opportunity to build real trading tools, learn mechanical trading systems, and gain practical experience while earning money on a flexible schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Program and refine custom scans in Fidelity Active Trader Pro
- Help improve and optimize mechanical trading tools
- Collaborate on problem-solving and system improvements
- Work independently on your own schedule
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in college (Computer Science major preferred)
- Interest in finance, trading, or business
- Strong problem-solving skills and enjoyment of coding
- Basic to intermediate programming ability
- Self-motivated, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Time Commitment
- Initial project: 2–3 hours
- Ongoing work: 2–3 hours per week
- Fully flexible — work on your own schedule
Compensation
- $25 per hour, paid per project
- Initial earnings will be deposited into a Roth IRA opened in your name so you can begin trading and building long-term wealth alongside the role
