Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings to enhance customer options
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and serving to ensure safety and hygiene
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver exceptional food service in a timely manner
- Support catering events or special orders by preparing large quantities of pizza efficiently and accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or kitchen environments
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
- Experience working in fine dining or casual restaurant settings is advantageous
- Skilled in knife handling, food industry standards, and culinary techniques such as pizza assembly and baking
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
