Machine Operator
Location: Reedsburg, WI
Employment Type: Full-time | Direct hire
Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift
Available Shifts
1st Shift
- Monday through Thursday
- 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- Friday may be scheduled based on production needs
3rd Shift
- Sunday night through Wednesday night
- 9:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Thursday night may be scheduled for overtime based on customer demand
About the Position
We’re hiring dependable, safety-minded production employees to rack and unrack metal parts before and after the zinc-plating process.
You’ll place parts onto specialized racks based on work-order instructions, make sure they are positioned correctly for processing, and remove and organize the finished parts once plating is complete. This is an active, hands-on position that requires good attention to detail and a steady production pace.
What You’ll Do
- Read work orders and confirm the correct parts are being processed
- Place metal components onto racks and fixtures before zinc plating
- Position parts carefully to support consistent coating coverage
- Remove finished parts from racks without damaging the product
- Keep different jobs, part numbers, and customer orders properly separated
- Visually inspect parts for obvious defects, damage, or incomplete coverage
- Count, organize, and stage completed parts for the next production step
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Meet production expectations without sacrificing safety or quality
- Follow all required safety procedures and wear assigned protective equipment
- Communicate quality, equipment, or work-order concerns to the line operator
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable work history and consistent attendance

- Strong attention to detail and part identification
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production pace
- Willingness to perform repetitive, hands-on production work
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and handle metal parts
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with the production team
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, plating, painting, or material-handling experience is helpful but not required
