Duties
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to ensure accurate stock levels
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with precision and efficiency
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
- Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipment details, and safety inspections using systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Follow safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to OSHA regulations, and practicing safe manual handling techniques
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and material handling machinery
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., warehouse management system software) and order fulfillment procedures
- Mechanical aptitude for heavy equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA guidelines and proper PPE use to ensure a safe working environment
- Technical proficiency with logistics software like AS400 or similar platforms used for order processing and inventory control
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and drivers in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
