Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management protocols
- Take digital dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety standards and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis, document medical history, treatment plans, and procedural notes accurately
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy laws
- Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical coding for billing purposes
- Complete intraoral scans with the Itero scanner
- Fabricate crown and bridge temps
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix and Dexis for managing electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation
- Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, aseptic technique, and dental instrument processing
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining radiation safety protocols; experience with dental x-ray equipment is preferred
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies
- Experience in all aspects of dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred; ongoing training in healthcare infection prevention and control is encouraged

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
