We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is ideal for experienced PCU, IMCU, Step-Down, and cardiac care RNs with strong clinical assessment skills and experience managing higher-acuity cardiac patients.
You will work in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU with a primarily cardiac patient population, including STEMI, NSTEMI, post-cardiothoracic surgery, and chest pain patients.
Mandatory Requirements to Apply
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of documented PCU/IMCU or similar Step-Down experience
- Experience working in a similar-sized acute care facility
- Current BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA) – Required
- Experience caring for cardiac patients, including:
- STEMI
- NSTEMI
- Chest pain
- Post-cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Experience managing cardiac and critical-care drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
- Strong telemetry interpretation, cardiac assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU/IMCU patients with cardiac and intermediate-acuity conditions.
- Monitor and assess patients with conditions including STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery.
- Safely administer and monitor cardiac drips and other prescribed medications and treatments.
- Interpret telemetry, monitor patient status, and promptly report changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:3–4
- Please note: Nurses may also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit with lower-acuity patient populations.

- Weekly Gross Pay: $2,088/week
- Taxable Hourly Rate: $14.00/hour
