Overview
We are seeking part-time help to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a role in providing customer service while assisting with various shop operations. This position requires a passion for customer service and retail, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. This role focuses on behind-the-scenes tasks, such as processing and organizing fresh flower shipments, maintaining a clean and well-stocked shop, and providing friendly customer service at the counter as well as on the phones. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring all products are well-stocked and displayed.
- Assist in the sales process, making tickets for orders, cashiering, and processing transactions using POS systems.
- Support the shop maintenance, process flowers, and light cleaning as needed.
- Engage in merchandising efforts to promote products effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient shop operations and inventory management.
- Communicate product information clearly to customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Delivering joy - occasionally and literally!
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with flowers or floral design is a plus.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance customer interactions.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective engagement with customers and team members.
- Basic knowledge of retail math and stocking procedures will be beneficial for this role.
- Organizational skills are necessary for maintaining inventory and ensuring the shop runs smoothly.
