Responsibilities
As an AV Installer, you’ll work on a variety of projects, from local installations to high-profile national deployments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the ALSAV team on AV system installations
- Installing projection systems, cabling, flat-panel displays, and control systems
- Pulling wire, terminating AV connections, building racks, and rigging speakers
- Reading and interpreting AV schematics, project drawings, and documentation
- Troubleshooting basic to advanced audio, video, and control system issues
- Ensuring installations meet industry standards and best practices
- Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to use hand tools effectively for installation tasks (must provide your own basic toolset)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (with notice)
- Willingness to travel 20–25% (negotiable)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial AV installations
- Familiarity with AV signal routing, processing equipment, and control systems
- Ability to fabricate, cable, and test AV racks and cabinets
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to adapt to different project environments
- Certifications (CTS, OSHA, etc.) or proficiency in AV software tools is a plus
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexible scheduling available based on project demand
- Primarily on-site and on the road
