Over the last 40 years, we’ve worked hard to build The Chef’s Garden. It’s a unique niche - home to creativity, innovation, a commitment to excellence, and some of the best produce in the world.
What started as a small family farm has grown to include many more people - still family nonetheless. We’re humbled that you’d consider joining us in the work that we do.
The Soil Building Coworker is an important position in our operations and is responsible for participating in fulfilling orders which includes operating equipment, blending mixes, organizing supplies, and helping with the seeding process as needed.
An ideal candidate for this job is great with details and following instructions and procedures. It’s a great position for someone who likes to remain active throughout the day as you’ll regularly need to stand for long periods of time and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Things like bags of soil, seed bags, fertilizer, and trays.
In return, you’ll receive all of the basics: medical and voluntary insurance benefits, paid holidays and PTO, and a 401k with match. This is a full-time, year-round position with a work schedule Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. (or until finished). On top of that, we offer a profit sharing bonus, access to our produce (don’t blame us if you become a foodie), opportunities for professional growth and development, free salad bar for lunch with a protein option for purchase, and casual dress all year-round - we’re not stuffy folk.
