Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, billing, and patient records management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by explaining procedures, financial options, and insurance benefits clearly and confidently.
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate billing in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare standards including JCAHO accreditation requirements and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
- Facilitate communication between patients, dental providers, insurance companies, and external vendors to optimize practice efficiency.
- Maintain medical records with precision, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards while managing documentation for medical management and acute care cases.
- Support human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to promote a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role with strong supervisory capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with eClinicalWorks or Epic is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, billing procedures, managed care processes, and HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to handle fiscal responsibilities including budgeting and financial management within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective treatment coordination and patient engagement.
- Prior experience with clinic operations involving dental clinic experience or hospital-based medical administrative support preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
