Position Details
Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Schedule: Full-Time 35-hour work week
Reports To: Director of ABA
Compensation: Starting at $80,000+ annually, with structured advancement opportunities through our BCBA Clinical Career Tier Program and eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Active Georgia Behavior Analyst License
- Minimum of one (1) year of BCBA experience
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for compassionate, evidence-based care
Position Summary
The BCBA serves as the lead clinician responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence across their assigned caseload. This role develops individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, provides clinical leadership to QASPs and RBTs, delivers parent training, and ensures every child receives ethical, compassionate, high-quality ABA services.
Working closely with the Director of ABA, the BCBA exercises independent clinical judgment while collaborating to maintain consistency, compliance, and exceptional client outcomes.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive client intakes and assessments.
- Administer, score, and interpret clinical assessments.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Update treatment plans based on client progress and clinical data.
- Ensure all programming promotes meaningful functional outcomes.
- Maintain documentation that meets BACB, Georgia licensure, payer, and company standards.
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to QASPs and RBTs.
- Ensure treatment plans are implemented with integrity and consistency.
- Observe sessions and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Support staff in problem-solving complex clinical situations.
- Promote professional development and ethical clinical practice.
Caseload Management
- Monitor client progress through ongoing data review.
- Identify barriers to progress and modify treatment when appropriate.
- Maintain oversight of assigned clients from intake through discharge.
- Participate in crisis intervention and clinical modeling when necessary.
Parent Training & Family Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with families and caregivers.
- Conduct all parent training sessions.
- Educate caregivers on behavior strategies, treatment goals, and skill generalization.
- Maintain timely, compassionate, and professional communication.
Clinical Compliance
- Maintain compliance with:
- BACB Ethics Code
- Georgia licensure requirements
- Insurance regulations
- Company policies
- Documentation standards
- Supervision requirements
- Review delegated work before clinical approval.
- Ensure medical necessity and treatment integrity are consistently demonstrated.
Clinical Decision-Making
The BCBA maintains independent authority over:
- Treatment programming
- Skill acquisition targets
- Teaching procedures
- Reinforcement systems
- Prompting strategies
- Session modifications
- Behavior intervention procedures
- Clinical coaching of assigned staff
Operational decisions involving staffing, scheduling, authorizations, major service changes, or discharge recommendations are made collaboratively with the Director of ABA.
