Hospital Environmental Services / Terminal Cleaner
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Hospital Cleaner / Environmental Services Technician to join our healthcare facility. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and compliant hospital environment.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of infection control and is comfortable working in a hospital setting using hospital-grade cleaning chemicals and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms and hospital areas
- Wipe down and disinfect beds, medical equipment, and high-touch surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and breakrooms
- Dust surfaces and fixtures throughout assigned areas
- Mop floors using approved hospital cleaning methods
- Properly use hospital-grade chemicals and PPE
- Change into scrubs as required by hospital policy
- Follow all safety, infection control, and cleaning protocols
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a hospital/medical environment
- Ability to perform terminal cleans
- Willingness to wear scrubs and follow dress code
- Ability to use hospital-grade cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance (Monday–Friday schedule)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hospital or healthcare cleaning experience
- Knowledge of infection control or terminal cleaning procedures
