Our church is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-minded individual to help maintain and improve our church campus. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping facilities safe and welcoming, and has a heart for serving the church community.
Responsibilities
The Church Handyman will be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and appearance of the church buildings and grounds. Duties include:
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to church facilities.
- Completing painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and basic plumbing tasks.
- Assisting with electrical repairs and fixture replacement (within experience and qualifications).
- Maintaining doors, locks, windows, flooring, furniture, and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance concerns and recommending repairs or improvements.
- Coordinating with outside contractors for specialized work when needed.
- Assisting with room setup and facility preparations for worship services, events, weddings, and special functions.
- Performing seasonal maintenance and helping maintain the church grounds, including light landscaping, irrigation checks, and exterior cleanup.
- Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment for members and guests.
- Helping with facility improvement projects as the church continues to grow.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
