Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the shop team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily shop activities, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising to create an engaging shopping environment
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between team members while maintaining high standards of guest services
- Handle guest inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism, offering expert advice on aquatic products, fish care, and maintenance
- Conduct cash handling duties accurately during transactions and maintain detailed sales reports to support business operations
- Organize and manage in-store events or educational demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote aquatic knowledge
- Support the development of reports on shop performance, customer feedback, and staff progress to inform strategic decisions
Qualifications
- Proven management experience with a background in supervising teams within retail, hospitality, or restaurant environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team atmosphere
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for engaging guests and enhancing their shopping experience
- Experience in shift management, cash handling, and report writing is essential
- Knowledge of aquarium products, marine life care, or related fields is highly desirable
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a hospitality or resort setting is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
