Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and basic food prep to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces, following safety standards in production.
- Follow food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Help with organizing supplies, rotating stock, and ensuring all food items are stored correctly according to safety standards.
- Support catering and food service operations by assisting with setup, serving, or cleanup as needed.
Qualifications
- Spanish Speaking Candidates Highly Preferred.
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep.
- Understanding of safety standards in production environments related to food handling and sanitation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations.
