Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for third-grade intensive reading, fifth-grade English Language Arts (ELA), and all subjects for fifth grade.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and promotes positive behavior management.
- Utilize educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Monitor student progress regularly through assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing differentiated instruction strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones.
- Incorporate special education practices when working with students with autism or other learning differences, ensuring compliance with educational regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, early intervention, and classroom management techniques.
- Support school-wide initiatives such as library services integration, tutoring programs, and early childhood education activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, academic achievement, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification for elementary education in the applicable region.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children across various grade levels; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation across multiple subjects including literacy (writing skills), math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for lesson planning and student assessment.
- Excellent communication skills to foster parent-teacher partnerships and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and monitor student progress through data analysis.
- Skills in behavior management strategies to create a positive classroom climate conducive to learning.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and familiarity with childhood development principles.
