American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in an IMC Cardiovascular unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

13-week contract

IMC Cardiovascular unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population consists of cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1–6:1 depending on staffing
-
Every other weekend requirement
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Temp-to-perm conversion is a possibility
-
Active LA RN license or valid compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification from the AHA required
-
Current ACLS certification from the AHA required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
-
SSN required for consideration
-
Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocols and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
-
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Educates patients, family members, and/or caregivers and identifies relevant resources
-
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
-
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed during onboarding
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

BSN preferred but not required
