We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Utilize hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately.
- Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting fixtures, water heaters, and HVAC units through scheduled servicing and emergency repairs.
- Follow safety protocols while working with electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, or performing maintenance painting projects.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and respond swiftly to guest or operational requests related to facilities issues.
- Assist in managing maintenance supplies inventory and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, electrical wiring diagrams, and PLC programming is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, along with testing devices like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior staff or apprentices when needed.
