Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of manicure and pedicure services, including gel manicures, nail extensions, acrylic nail application, and nail care treatments.
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement each client’s style and preferences.
- Conduct sanitation and disinfection procedures diligently to maintain salon safety protocols and ensure a hygienic environment.
- Provide expert advice on nail care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales opportunities to enhance client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships.
- Stay current with the latest trends in nail art, techniques such as nail extensions and gel manicures, and industry best practices.
- Uphold all salon safety protocols, including proper disinfection procedures for tools and workstations, ensuring a safe experience for everyone.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory, nail extensions (including acrylics), gel manicures, and other advanced nail techniques.
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on manicure, pedicure, and nail care services.
- Proficiency in sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols to maintain a clean environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients.
- Skilled in esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or body waxing as optional complementary services.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling products like nail care items or skincare products.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting; experience with retail math is a plus.
