Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Transporter/Scheduler Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves coordinating transportation services, driving residents to and from appointments/patient activities, and ensuring seamless communication between care teams, patients, and families. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Under the direction of the Activity Director.
Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate transportation for patients to and from medical appointments, hospital stays, and community activities
- Perform patient activities, and schedule appointments efficiently to optimize care delivery and resource utilization
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, families, and external agencies to confirm schedules and address any changes or emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of transportation logs, transportation schedules, and patient information while ensuring confidentiality
- Assist with patient care activities as needed, including mobility support and basic life support procedures
- Monitor transportation vehicles for safety compliance and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Support staff by facilitating smooth patient flow within the facility and ensuring timely arrivals for scheduled treatments or procedures
Requirements
- Requires a Class E drivers license and CPR certification or willing to obtain.
- Experience with critical care transport is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Good communication skills to liaise confidently with diverse teams and patients
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as needed to perform duties efficiently

Pay: $15.45 - $17.00 per hour
