Alorah Healthcare is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and support all aspects of information technology for our skilled nursing facility.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced IT professional who can manage day-to-day technology needs while helping build and strengthen our IT infrastructure. The IT Manager will also train and mentor an existing IT team member and work closely with leadership, vendors, and department heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the facility’s overall IT operations and infrastructure.
- Assist with server migrations, network configuration, system implementation, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage computers, servers, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, phones, mobile devices, and other technology systems.
- Administer Microsoft 365, email accounts, user access, permissions, MFA, and security settings.
- Support healthcare applications, electronic health records, payroll systems, and other facility software.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, connectivity, and user issues.
- Manage onboarding and termination of user accounts and system access.
- Maintain appropriate cybersecurity, HIPAA, data privacy, backup, and access-control practices.
- Coordinate with third-party IT vendors and technology partners.
- Maintain IT documentation, inventories, system configurations, and vendor records.
- Respond to outages, cybersecurity concerns, phishing attempts, and other technology incidents.
- Train, mentor, and provide ongoing direction to another IT staff member.
- Educate employees on technology, cybersecurity, and appropriate system use.
- Identify technology risks and recommend solutions and improvements.
- Help establish IT policies, procedures, standards, and long-term infrastructure plans.
Qualifications
- Previous IT experience in a healthcare environment required.
- Skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in an IT leadership, systems administration, network administration, or similar senior technical role.
- Hands-on experience with servers, networks, infrastructure, migrations, Microsoft 365, user administration, and cybersecurity.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, access controls, and information security.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with vendors and managing technology projects.
- Ability to train and mentor less-experienced IT staff.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to employees who may not have a technical background.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of IT issues from identification through resolution.
