Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, lowboys, dump trucks, roll offs, landolls, step decks, annd hot shots across regional and local routes.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow assigned routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions.
- Load, Unload, secure, and operate heavy equipment
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and other safety standards during all operations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking load securement, tire condition, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
- Load and unload freight at various locations using appropriate equipment; ensure proper handling of logistics cargo including refrigerated goods or tanker loads.
- Document delivery logs accurately, including delivery receipts, inspection reports, and incident reports as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to confirm delivery schedules and report any issues or delays promptly.
- Preform maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record, and current medical card. No automatic restrictions
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for regional deliveries.
- Pre employment and random drug screening is required
- Must pass background check
- Willing to stay out of town overnight as needed
- Some night and weekend work
- Familiarity with trailers, flatbed trucks, lowboys, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and automobile transportation is preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety procedures related to truck driving.
- Ability to manually handle freight safely during loading/unloading processes while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Experience with manual transmission trucks is required; ability to operate vehicles with manual handling requirements.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance on over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Ability to manage logistics cargo handling efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
