Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and review medical histories, including vital signs, to assess patient health.
- Assist in the documentation of patient treatments and maintain accurate records using Eaglesoft or similar software.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures.
- Conduct medical imaging as needed, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting to insurance providers or for record keeping.
Skills
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and assess patient health effectively.
- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance purposes is a plus.
- Experience in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail for documentation review and patient records management.
- Competence in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Background in general dentistry practices with an emphasis on patient care and comfort.
- Experience in dental assisting is beneficial, particularly in supporting various procedures.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to cater effectively to younger patients.

Pay: $54.00 - $58.00 per hour
