Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities. The Behavioral Therapist will provide quality care through one-on-one behavioral therapy with clients ages 0-21 diagnosed with neurodevelopmental and developmental disorders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with families to support behavioral health treatment.
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
- Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
- Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals.
- Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
- Attend monthly scheduled clinic meetings to discuss the client’s program, intervention and progress
- Attend any and all necessary trainings and seminars associated to job description.
- Provide direct 1:1 and group treatment to clients
- Implementing program curriculum
- Directly delivering individual and group learning
- Experiences to assist each client served in obtaining his/her IPP and IFSP objectives for which the vendor is responsible.
- Attend any and all clinic meetings
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health systems.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts related to pediatrics, geriatrics, special education, and working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
Mandatory Requirements (BABC will provided if applicable)
- CPR/First Aid
- Hold valid immunization records and pass TB exam
- Cleared for Livescan from the Department of Justice.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License & insurance in good standing
Prefrerred Qualifications
- College Students in psychology, child development, special education, early childhood special education, social work or related field..
- Previous experience providing education and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
