We are seeking an experienced, highly capable Director of Operations to oversee and elevate the day-to-day operations of our growing dermatology practice. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment, leads with confidence and accountability, and takes ownership of results.
Position Overview
The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall performance of the practice. This individual serves as the operational backbone of the organization, translating strategy into execution while ensuring that clinical teams, front office staff, and administrative functions operate in alignment.
This role requires a seasoned healthcare leader who is organized, decisive, and comfortable taking initiative. You will partner closely with physician leadership, manage and develop junior staff, and continuously improve systems related to patient experience, staffing, revenue cycle performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Operations & Leadership
- Oversee all non-clinical operations of the practice
- Partner with physician leadership to translate vision into execution
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Establish clear workflows, expectations, and performance standards
People Management & Team Development
- Recruit, train, and retain high-quality staff
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Build junior leaders and support staff development
Financial & Business Operations
- Oversee budgets, payroll, staffing, and expenses
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and operational metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
Patient Experience & Operational Excellence
- Ensure a consistently high-quality patient experience
- Optimize clinic flow, scheduling, and provider utilization
- Implement and refine policies, procedures, and systems
Compliance & Infrastructure
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness
- Oversee facilities, vendors, and infrastructure
- Maintain organized documentation and reporting
The Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for an experienced medical practice leader who is confident, organized, and action oriented. You are comfortable making decisions, holding others accountable, and continuously improving systems.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in medical practice or healthcare operations leadership
- Strong people management and organizational skills
- Financial acumen and operational discipline
- MBA, MHA, or similar advanced degree strongly preferred

- Base salary of $100,000 per year, plus opportunities for additional performance-based compensation
