Overview

Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation projects using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety protocols.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to complete tasks accurately.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to guide installation and repair processes efficiently.
- Assist with framing carpentry, conduit installation, and other construction-related tasks to support electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections on electrical components, troubleshoot issues using schematics and test equipment, and perform repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on site safety procedures, ensuring a secure work environment for all personnel involved.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and blueprint reading for complex electrical installations.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC standards for safe electrical design and installation practices.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices effectively.
- Experience working on construction sites with exposure to renovation projects and high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems including control wiring for automation or security systems.
