We are seeking candidates who are roughly based in the Chattanooga, TN area. There will be extensive travel across your assigned territory / region (typically on the road Monday to Thursday, work from home Friday). Approximately 50% of travel involves overnight stays, and most travel is completed by car rather than commercial airline. Travel costs are reimbursed. There is also a $0.40 per mile reimbursement when utilizing your own vehicle.
Compensation:
$80,000 annual base salary, plus a $500 monthly vehicle stipend to help offset the costs associated with the roles extensive travel. This role is also eligible for our quarterly bonus program. Typical payouts average approximately $500 to $1500 per quarter, though actual amounts vary and may fall above or below this range.

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a global organization providing technology-enabled business services to the automotive industry. We are seeking to hire a Mobile Service Coach. This role will be connected to Ford dealerships. Are you a high-energy leader who thrives on driving change, developing people, and growing a business?
We're looking for a Mobile Service Business Consultant & Performance Coach to help dealerships sustain, grow, and optimize established Mobile Service operations. The majority of this role focuses on improving the performance of existing programs, with occasional support for new dealership launches. This is far more than a traditional automotive position you'll serve as a trusted business consultant, sales coach, trainer, and change agent, partnering with dealership leadership to build profitable Mobile Service programs while providing hands-on technical coaching in the field.
Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable presenting to dealership owners, coaching service managers, analyzing business performance, and demonstrating service procedures inside a Mobile Service Van. Please note, this is a newly created role due to continued program growth and regional capacity needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Consulting

Serve as the subject matter expert for Mobile Service implementation, operations, sales strategy, and workflow optimization.
- Consult with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and Service Managers to develop profitable Mobile Service operations.
- Help dealerships create and execute go-to-market strategies for Mobile Service.
- Coach leadership teams on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Promote adoption of Mobile Service by overcoming objections and demonstrating business value.
Performance Improvement & Change Management

Evaluate dealership operations and identify opportunities to improve workflow and performance.
- Analyze dealership KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop improvement plans that deliver measurable ROI.
- Support dealerships in implementing new processes and best practices.
- Ensure dealerships maintain effective Mobile Service parts inventory strategies.
Training & Development

Deliver both technical and non-technical training at dealerships, regional events, and virtually.
- Provide ongoing coaching and operational support for established Mobile Service programs, while occasionally assisting with new vehicle launches and dealership onboarding activities.
- Train technicians on: vehicle lifting procedures, oil extraction and oil change procedures, vehicle inspection processes, mobile service tools and equipment
- Coach Mobile Service Coordinators and Advisors on customer engagement, inspection-based selling, and service sales techniques.
- Deliver customer service and consultative sales training that improves customer satisfaction and increases Mobile Service revenue.
Program Support

Assist dealerships with recruiting and retaining Mobile Service Technicians and Coordinators.
- Monitor dealership performance and provide ongoing coaching and operational support.
- Build strong relationships with dealership leadership and field teams while serving as a trusted advisor.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Candidates need reliable, presentable personal transportation (as noted earlier, there is a vehicle stipend).
- Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing experience within the automotive industry. Were seeking foundational automotive mechanical knowledge and the ability to credibly demonstrate basic service procedures, tools, and equipment. Prior mobile service experience isnt required (although it is helpful).
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of automotive industry experience (ideally some experience in mobile service).
- Experience in dealership or aftermarket service operations
- Experience delivering technical and sales training
- Experience leading business improvement initiatives
- Proven success implementing new programs across multiple locations

Physical Requirements:
This is an active field-based position requiring regular hands-on demonstrations and technician training. Candidates must be able to:
