Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, ensuring safe and efficient towing services. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for responding to roadside assistance calls, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the integrity of our towing equipment.
Duties
- Operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models, to safely transport vehicles.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring no damage occurs during the process.
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions prior to towing.
- Manage conflict effectively with customers in high-stress situations, providing calm and professional assistance.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on towing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities and customer interactions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on duty.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle various customer scenarios effectively.
- Previous experience operating tow trucks is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
