Join the Team That’s Redefining In-Home Support
Responder (Part-Time, Overnight)
Pay: $18–$20/hr + Mileage | Bonus at 6 and 12 Months
At Night Owl Support Systems, we help people with disabilities live independently in their own homes through a blend of smart technology and real-time human support. Our responders are the on-the-ground backup when remote support isn’t enough, offering a compassionate, in-person presence when it’s needed most.
Role Overview: As a Responder, you’ll be dispatched when someone needs hands-on assistance in their home. That could mean helping them out of bed, assisting after a fall, checking in when they haven’t answered their phone, or providing scheduled overnight support based on their care plan. When you’re not responding to a call, you’ll be resting at the responder site. Minimum 2 years caregiving experience required.
Typical Duties Include:
- Responding in-person to support alerts
- Assisting individuals with basic needs: mobility help, repositioning, toileting, etc.
- Doing “well checks” when a person can’t be reached or when there's a concern for their safety
- Following guidance from our Monitoring Station team
- Documenting your visits clearly and accurately
- Driving between client homes as needed (mileage reimbursed)
- Communicating clearly with the Monitoring team and fellow Responders
- Promoting safety, dignity, and independence in every interaction
Schedule & Pay:
- Overnight shifts, 30 hours per week
- Desired availability on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.
- Pay: $18–$20/hour depending on shift and duties
- Mileage reimbursement + retention bonus at 6 and 12 months
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous caregiving, DSP, or personal support experience
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Proof of auto insurance and ability to drive throughout your shift
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including providing mobility and transfer assistance, walking short to moderate distances (e.g., between residences or within apartment complexes), and safely standing on step stools as needed to reach or inspect equipment
- Calm, compassionate, and dependable personality
- Willingness to handle occasional bodily care tasks as needed
