Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager of our Albuquerque NM ocation, the Maintenance Engineer leads the Maintenance team ensuring that all production equipment and systems are functioning at peak performance. They are responsible for all mechanical operations. This includes operation and maintenance of steam boilers, and other industrial washing equipment and troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, steam and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training and support.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities for the laundry plant.
- Plan, schedule and track maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
- Lead all equipment installation projects and minimize shut-downs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly.
- Partner with plant production teams to ensure safe and optimal performance of laundry equipment.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years similar management experience and proven results in a production or manufacturing environment
- Related education, certificate or training in electrical or millwright
- Working knowledge of electrical, steam, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to handle stress in a constructive manner and deal with emergency situations
- Previous responsibility managing budgets including parts, labor and utilities
Hours of Work & Working Conditions
- Daytime hours with flexibility to address emergencies
- Occasional travel to Amarillo TX and Oklahoma City OK locations for emergency or project installations
- Physical requirements include lifting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
Hourly Pay Range
Pay: $42.00 - $46.00 per hour
