POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes for custom and
standard signage products. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring
quality standards, and supporting new product development from concept through production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and improve manufacturing processes for illuminated and non-illuminated signage
- Develop production workflows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing
documentation
- Collaborate with design, sales, and production teams to ensure manufacturability of sign
products
- Support CNC routing, laser cutting, metal fabrication, welding, painting, and electrical assembly
processes
- Evaluate materials, components, and fabrication methods to improve quality and reduce costs
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to optimize production efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and quality standards
- Assist with equipment selection, installation, and maintenance planning
- Support prototype development and transition of new products into production
- Work with vendors and suppliers to source materials and improve product performance
REQUIREMENTS SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Proficiency with CAD software such as: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion, Bamboo, or En Route
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal, welding, machining, and finishing
- Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of electrical components used in illuminated signs and LED systems
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (lbs) occasionally
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout office, production, and job site
environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automation and process optimization projects

- Familiarity with ERP or workflow systems
- Experience with building code and the permit process
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Combination of office, production facility, and field/site visits
- Occasional travel to customer locations or installation sites
- Production environment may be dusty, noisy, and non-temperature controlled
- Exposure to adhesives, chemicals, and fabrication equipment when in the production setting
- PPE required- safety glasses and closed-toed shoes when in production settin
