American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry (IMC) position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and an active OR RN license.

Short-term acute care hospital setting, Cardiac Intermediate Care (IMC) unit

Patient population includes cardiology (ACS, NSTEMI, heart failure management, pre/post cath care, arrhythmia management), electrophysiology (pacemaker placement), cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacement, TAVR), vascular surgery (amputations, fem-pop bypass), and advanced heart failure (pre/post heart transplant, VAD, inotrope support)

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), 36 hours per week

4 weekend shifts required per month

No on-call responsibilities

Floating may be required within acute care/IMC scope to meet facility needs, including to an affiliated nearby hospital — refusal to float may result in contract cancellation

Epic EMR used; experience highly preferred

Safe patient mobilization equipment (ceiling lifts) available in the majority of patient rooms

Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital, Level I Trauma Center

All patient care teams have 24/7 on-call provider coverage; most teams have a provider in-house 24/7

Active Oregon (OR) RN license required — pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board to qualify for the 90-day license exemption

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required

Epic EMR experience highly preferred

Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required — charge RN references are not acceptable

COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions

13-week contract, with the possibility of extension for interested candidates

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted

RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for a 13-week contract or 7 days for an 18-week contract; any approved time beyond 5 days must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13-week assignment

All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and may not exceed 2 consecutive weeks

Candidates who were previously employed at or on assignment with this health system must have been separated for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler; a reference from the supervising manager at this facility is required for returning candidates

Scrubs may be any solid color — no prints; scrubs are provided

Public transportation is strongly encouraged; daily parking passes are available for $16 (8am–5pm only)
