Parkerville Wood Products is a unique, specialty lumber supplier and custom woodworking shop. Our Manchester-based store is open to the public and stocks and sells over 60 different species of hardwood and softwood lumber, slabs, trim, decking, dozens of varieties of cabinet-grade plywood and much more.
Additionally, Parkerville provides basic and custom milling services to homeowners, woodworkers, and contractors and is a full-scale producer of both residential and commercial architectural millwork and other custom woodworking.
Parkerville is looking to add a full-time Inside Sales and Estimator to our retail team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different types of customers, assisting them across a spectrum of needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Effectively and efficiently manage our Inside Sales activity throughout the sales process.
· Develop and maintain productive customer and partner relationships that encourage their continued and increasing engagement with Parkerville.
· Consults with new and existing customers to assist and guide them in making thoughtful decisions about their projects and to sell/promote PWP goods and services.
· Prospects for new business with existing customers by capitalizing on PWP’s excellent reputation for quality and service.
· Develops accurate project costing estimates and ensures that the necessary due-diligence is performed to minimize any risk to PWP or the customer.
· Produces professional, complete and accurate quotes for our customers.
· Ensures the timely and accurate entry of any estimates, quotes, and sales orders into our operating systems.
· Simultaneously manage multiple projects at various phases of production through their completion.
· Source and purchase materials for projects.
· Works effectively with all members of the PWP team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Demonstrated experience in sales and customer relationship management.
· Knowledge of basic woodworking terminology, methods, and techniques.
· Knowledge of different types of wood and building materials.
· Experienced in developing cost estimates for woodworking or other trade jobs.
· Attention to detail, thorough and accurate.
· Self-motivated, organized, and able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
· Experienced with the use of Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs.
· Effective and experienced at working with customers and the public.
· Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Is comfortable in a fast-paced working environment where priorities may shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
