Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Manage cash handling, process transactions accurately, and handle credit card payments using POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and ensuring cleanliness of work areas
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff with food preparation or other duties as needed
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food industry trends enhances guest interactions
- Experience in fine dining settings or hospitality roles demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transaction processing are essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is required
- Prior host/hostess or serving experience helps build guest rapport and team collaboration skills
