American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCIS certification for a 13-week contract with a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Cardiac Cath Lab setting at a community hospital
-
Procedures include left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, cardioversion, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, EP studies, pacemaker and AICD insertion/programming, and hemodynamic monitoring

IR procedures include abdominal/pelvic angiography, IVC filter placement, TIPS, carotid stenting, upper and lower extremity angiography, endovascular interventions, dialysis graft creation/revision, fistulograms/declots, renal artery stent placement, ureteral stent placement, and neurological stent placement/thrombolysis

4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Weekend availability required

On-call is required with approximately 14–15 call days per 6-week period; weekday call runs 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM, and weekend call runs Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM on a rotating call team schedule

No floating within or to sister facilities

Block scheduling is not available

Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; strong IR experience is essential

Travel experience required

ACLS, BLS, and RCIS required; ARRT (R) required

Charting experience required (any system accepted)

Community hospital experience preferred

Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

License required if applicable

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate

Perform cardiac cath, EP, and IR procedures including scrubbing, circulating, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG lead placement, IV starts, rotablader use, and peripheral/venous access

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Former permanent employees of the facility must have been separated for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Travelers who have completed an assignment at this facility must separate for a minimum of 90 days after 1 year before returning as a traveler

Up to 1 RTO request is permitted for this assignment; requests must be submitted and approved prior to the start of the assignment

Holiday coverage is expected as part of this assignment

Orientation includes facility-specific modules completed via the Relias/NetLearning portal, averaging 4–8 hours
