Altira Logistics is seeking a passionate, dependable, and motivated Delivery Dispatch Manager to lead our delivery operations. We are looking for zealous leaders who thrive in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to developing drivers while ensuring exceptional safety and delivery performance.
Previous Amazon DSP dispatch management experience is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
As a Delivery Dispatch Manager, you will oversee daily delivery operations and support drivers from dispatch through route completion. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to solving operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily dispatch operations to ensure successful route execution.
- Track driver progress throughout the day and proactively communicate with drivers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor delivery performance and quickly address operational issues.
- Monitor Safety dashboard, coach and mentor drivers on safe driving practices and quality delivery expectations.
- Lead by example by promoting safety, accountability, and a positive team culture.
- Assist with driver rescues when routes fall behind to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Maintain oversight of the delivery fleet, including vehicle readiness and operational compliance.
- Build positive relationships with drivers and delivery partners through respectful communication and teamwork.
- Foster high employee engagement and recognize strong performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
- Amazon DSP dispatch management experience preferred.
- Previous experience leading delivery, transportation, or logistics operations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to perform driver rescues when operationally necessary.
- Experience with fleet oversight and vehicle management.
- Strong leadership, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Commitment to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and positive workplace.
