Our client, a well-established bathroom renovation company, is looking for a Certified Master Plumber to join their team in North Carolina.
This is a role that is hands-on but also a focus on quality and compliance for someone who knows plumbing inside and out and can be trusted to validate that the plumbing piece of every installation is done right. You'll make sure permits are accurate, installers are properly trained on the plumbing fundamentals, and the plumbing work itself within the broader installation meets code. Think of it as part project manager, part hands-on, part trainer role: you'll review and sign off on the work, but you'll also be in the field when needed, especially for larger commercial installations.
What we offer:
- Permanent full-time position
- Company vehicle provided
- Tools provided
- Cell phone and laptop provided
- Uniform provided
- Medical benefits
- Key technical role with real impact across the region
- Mix of oversight and hands-on work — no two days look the same
- Opportunity to shape plumbing training and standards across the team
Your responsibilities:
- Validate that the plumbing component of installations performed across the region meets proper standards and code requirements
- Determine when permits are required and ensure the correct permits are obtained for each job
- Train installers on plumbing fundamentals and provide ongoing guidance to staff
- Be present and provide hands-on support for commercial and larger-scale installations
- Conduct safety audits to ensure installers follow company safety protocols
- Approve plumbing scope of work following established company procedures
- Participate in required inspections, including standing inspections, and maintain an accurate permit log
- Perform hands-on plumbing work as needed, including standard tub and shower drain installation and repair (no sewage or waste work)
- Stay current on applicable plumbing codes, local laws, and regulatory requirements, flagging any potential compliance issues
What we're looking for:
- Certified Master Plumber with a valid Class I (P1) license in North Carolina
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and permitting processes
- Comfortable training and mentoring installers on plumbing fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with residential and commercial plumbing, particularly tub and shower drain work
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills — able to read technical documents and clearly guide installers
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and confident making judgment calls on-site
