Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems across various property types. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse HVAC equipment, including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal indoor climate control, system efficiency, and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and building automation system (BAS) controls to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within complex mechanical systems.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications of metal components within HVAC or refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary certifications.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and execute equipment repair or replacement efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Support property maintenance activities by inspecting building systems regularly and performing preventive maintenance.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for on-site service calls or equipment transportation.
- Assist with building automation system programming or troubleshooting to optimize energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on HVAC/R projects involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized cooling systems.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience combined with service technician background in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles, and HVAC design concepts.
- Mechanical knowledge of system repair procedures for HVAC units, boilers, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) and understanding of HVAC/R controls.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as boiler license or ammonia refrigeration are a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools required.
- Skilled in plumbing, welding, electrical diagnostics, and general equipment repair tasks.
- Mechanical or mechanic experience preferred; familiarity with property maintenance is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating heavy-duty equipment is beneficial.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
