Position Summary
StenTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in our Hillsboro, OR facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer specifications and quality standards. And Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming, in-process, first article (first part buyoff), finished, and outgoing metal parts to verify compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

Perform incoming inspections of supplier materials and final inspections of finished products before shipment.

Review inspection paperwork, work orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and final approval.

Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.

Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, optical comparators, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.

Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs), including AS9102 documentation, and accurately maintain electronic inspection records.

Read and interpret customer blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.

Visually inspect products for defects, damage, workmanship issues, and dimensional inconsistencies while handling precision metal components with care.

Monitor product quality throughout production and recommend improvements to quality processes when appropriate.

Assist with assembly or other production-related duties as needed.

Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.

Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, optical comparators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and inspection requirements.

Knowledge of CNC machining processes or experience inspecting machined components preferred.

Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAIs) and AS9102 documentation, preferred.

Ability to create or modify CMM programs is highly preferred.

Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately enter inspection data and maintain electronic quality records.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, non-conformances, and dimensional discrepancies.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
